Follow your manual
Your owner’s manual lists the oil type and interval for your engine. Many newer cars also have an oil life monitor.
When to change sooner
Lots of short trips, stop-and-go traffic, high heat and towing are harder on oil.
More than an oil change
Maintenance visits are a good time to look at brakes, tires, belts, hoses and fluids so small problems don’t become big ones.
Classic cars
Older engines may need different oil and more frequent changes, especially if the car isn’t driven often. Ask us about your car.
Signs it’s time
Your oil life monitor or reminder sticker is the easiest guide. Low oil on the dipstick, an oil pressure warning, or oil that looks very dark and gritty are signs to come in now, not later.
If you see oil spots where you park, have the car checked for leaks.
Why maintenance pays off
Regular oil changes are one of the simplest ways to protect an engine. A maintenance visit is also a chance to catch worn brakes, cracked belts or leaking hoses early, when the fix is smaller.
